Ellen Kapito graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Nursing. She has worked as an oncology nurse for numerous years in a variety of health care settings. Her expertise includes chemotherapy administration as well as medical and surgical oncology and clinical research. She was the Program Coordinator for the Woman-to-Woman Program at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. Woman to Woman is a program that pairs gynecological cancer patients with trained volunteer survivors who provide peer-to-peer support and mentoring. Woman to Woman also promotes education and self-advocacy for women.
