Join us for the 7th Annual Walk for Women’s Cancers, a 5K walk to raise critical funds for The Lewin Fund to Fight Women’s Cancers. Proceeds from the Walk will directly support innovative women’s cancer research and essential patient services — including transportation to treatment, access to food pantries, house-cleaning assistance, and psychosocial support for patients and families.

The Lewin Fund is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (Tax ID 46-1628320), committed to addressing the realities facing one in three women and their loved ones. With a fully volunteer Board and no salaries paid, every dollar raised goes directly to funding research and critical services.

How will the proceeds from the event be used? 

All proceeds directly support The Lewin Fund to Fight Women’s Cancers’ work to fund groundbreaking research, patient services (like transportation to treatment and house-cleaning grants), and education on prevention and early detection. 

Founded in 2014 by Dr. Sharyn N. Lewin, The Lewin Fund to Fight Women’s Cancers is a nationally recognized public charity dedicated to advancing women’s cancer research, patient support services, and education. 

Our Board is 100% volunteer-based, ensuring that every donation directly impacts the lives of women facing cancer. 

How long is the Walk?

The main Walk is approximately 3 miles long. Additionally, there is a 1-mile trail option available for anyone who prefers a shorter route or would like to add an extra mile to their walk. Everyone is welcome to choose the option that is right for them!

Can I register on the day of the event?

Absolutely! On-site registration is $40 and opens at 9:30 AM. Just stop by the registration table to pay your fee and sign the required race-day waiver – and you’ll be ready to walk with us! 

Can I register as part of a team?

Yes! Teams are encouraged. When you register on RunSignUp, you’ll have the option to create a team or join an existing team.  

First, start your own team when prompted during registration. Then, as you continue through the registration pages, you’ll reach a section where you can set up a Team Fundraiser. This allows your team to fundraise together under one goal, in addition to your personal fundraising page! 

Note: If you miss setting up your team fundraiser during registration, you can always log back into RunSignUp and add it later! 

Is there a virtual registration option?

Yes! If you can’t join us in person, you can participate virtually. Visit our event page on RunSignUp and click the Sign-Up button. You will then be prompted to select whether you’d like to register for our in-person or virtual walk. 

You’ll receive Zoom information closer to the event. Virtual walkers are encouraged to walk wherever they are – around your neighborhood, at a park, or even on a treadmill!
