Preventive Strategies
At The Lewin Fund to Fight Women’s Cancers, we believe early detection and education are our strongest tools in the fight against cancer. That’s why we invest in programs that raise awareness, empower patients with knowledge, and help communities take preventative action.

Past Community Outreach Initiatives
We invest in grassroots programs that directly impact and educate women battling cancer, their families, and their communities.
Annual Latina Summit
The Lewin Fund proudly sponsors an early education summit tailored to the needs of Latina women navigating gynecologic health. Presented in both Spanish and English, the event creates space for open dialogue around early detection, treatment options, and healthcare access. Hosted in collaboration with Gilda’s Club, Mount Sinai Hospital, and LatinaSHARE, the summit provides trusted medical guidance in a supportive setting.

Own Your Health
On November 12, 2017, The Lewin Fund hosted a free, interactive panel event designed to encourage women to prioritize their personal health. Experts shared practical prevention strategies and lifestyle advice to help attendees make informed decisions about their well-being.
Living Fearless Wellness Symposium
A free community event featuring expert insights on cancer prevention, screening, nutrition, genetics, and wellness – designed to help women make informed, proactive health decisions

Tell Ten Women
This grassroots awareness program encourages participants to share the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer with 10 women in their lives. With early symptoms often vague and misunderstood, this initiative helps close the knowledge gap and promote earlier diagnosis, when treatment is most effective.
Global Partnerships in Action
