Who we are

The Lewin Fund to Fight Women’s Cancers is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to transforming the lives of women and families impacted by gynecologic cancers.

Founded in 2014 by Dr. Sharyn N. Lewin, a renowned gynecological oncologist and surgeon, our nationally recognized public charity provides vital funding for groundbreaking research and patient support. Inspired by a courageous woman who faced gynecologic cancer, we are committed to empowering ALL women with cancer and delivering hope when it’s needed most.

Since our founding over ten years ago, we partner with with leading researchers, healthcare institutions, and advocacy organizations to expand access to care and empower patients. Thomas J. Lewin received his Ph.D. from Northwestern University and served on the faculty at the University of Kansas from 1975 until retiring in 2015.

Scott J. Mermel

Jack Newhouse

Jack Newhouse received his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Duke University in 2001. He was Captain of the Duke University Swim Team. He
